Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to management and employees on various legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the company's operations.
• Manage litigation and legal disputes, including working with external counsel when necessary.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to stay informed about changes in the legal landscape.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues and support business objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is typically required. Some positions may also require additional specialized education or advanced degrees in a specific area of law.
• Legal licensure: Legal Counsel must be licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where they will be providing legal advice. This usually involves passing a state bar exam or an equivalent licensing examination.
