    Legal Associate

    Job Summary:

    We’re looking for a meticulous and business-minded Legal Associate to support the company’s legal and compliance needs. You will be responsible for managing legal contracts, handling regulatory filings, ensuring legal compliance, and advising on employment law matters related to our recruitment services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Draft, review, and manage service agreements, NDAs, offer letters, partnership contracts, and other legal documents.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulatory requirements (e.g., CAC, NDPR, Labour Act).
    • Provide legal support on employment-related matters such as contracts, terminations, disciplinary actions, and workplace disputes.
    • Liaise with external counsel on legal issues as needed.
    • Monitor legislative changes relevant to the recruitment industry and advise the management accordingly.
    • Maintain legal and compliance documentation, including regulatory licenses and filings.
    • Support the HR and Operations teams with legal advice related to clients, employees, and contractors.
    • Conduct legal risk assessments and offer practical mitigation strategies.
    • Contribute to internal policies, procedures, and staff training related to compliance and data protection.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized university.
    • 1-2 years post-NYSC experience in a legal or compliance role; HR or recruitment industry experience is an advantage.
    • Solid understanding of Nigerian Labor Law, contract law, and corporate compliance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
