    Legal Associate


    Our Firm is a multi-service law firm with collective experience spanning decades. We provide services to a wide variety of clientele, ranging from large corporate organizations to private individuals alike. Our law office is seeking an Associate, to join our team as a Team Player, who epitomizes qualities such as innovation, knowledge and the ability to craft effective solutions for our Clientele.

    Our core practice areas are Alternative Dispute Resolution and Litigation, Commercial Transactions, Companies and Allied Matters, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Family, Probate, Matrimonial Causes and Administration of Estates, Intellectual Property, Legal Documentation, Labor Law, Debt Recovery, Insolvency and Agriculture just to mention a few.     In the course of the entry-level programme, the Trainee Associate will be expected to do the following:

    1. Conduct Legal Research and Analysis to Support case preparation.
    2. Draft Legal Documents, including Pleadings, Briefs, Contracts and Agreements.
    3. Assist in the Preparation for Trials, Hearings and Other Legal Proceedings.
    4. Review and Analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
    5. Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to manage case files and Client documentation.
    6. Collaborate with Senior Attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments.
    7. Conduct due diligence in legal matters, such as Corporate Transactions and Mergers.
    8. Maintain an Organized database of legal information and resources.
    9. Interface with Clients, Witnesses and Other Relevant Parties to gather information and coordinate schedules.
    10. Provide Legal Advice and Guidance to Clients on Various Legal Matters.
    11. Conduct Legal Research to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of legal analysis.
    12. Draft and Review Legal Documents such as Contracts, Agreements and Policies.
    13. Represent Clients in Court Proceedings, Hearings and Other Legal Forums.
    14. Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders to develop and implement legal strategies for Companies.
    15. Ensure Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    16. Manage and Maintain Legal Documentation and records.  

    Role Requirements:

    1. Minimum academic qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB & BL) with a minimum of a Second Class Qualification or its equivalent and Call to the Nigerian Bar.
    2. A lawyer with at least 2 - 3 years of post-call experience. Must have been called as of July 2021.
    3. Candidate Must have completed the Mandatory NYSC Programme

    4. Candidate must be able to do work under pressure with keen attention to detail
    5. Excellent Organizational Skills and must possess the ability to work with other attorneys, staff, diverse in-house client groups, senior executives and customer representatives.
    6. Strong ability to think strategically, creatively and innovatively.
    7. Excellent Written and Communication Skills.
    8. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
    9. Prior Experience in a law firm or legal department is preferred but not required.

    Age: 21 years – 27 years.

    Remuneration: NGN 100,000.

    N.B: Applicants with residence in Lagos Mainland and proximity to Ikeja would be preferred.
