Position Overview

• We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend- Java Developer with expertise in Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot to join the growing team of our client in Abuja.
• This is an on-site role with a competitive relocation package for the right candidate.
• You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems that support cutting-edge applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and development roadmaps.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
• Integrate backend systems with databases, APIs, and other third-party services.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and system architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in backend development using Java, Natty, Vertex, and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based systems.
• Proficiency with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Solid understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred:

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
