• The Lead Civil and Structural Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of civil and structural engineering solutions for projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. This role leads a team of engineers and designers, provides technical expertise, and coordinates with other disciplines to deliver high-quality engineering outputs on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage structural analysis, load calculations, and material selections for various structures (e.g., buildings, foundations, platforms, supports).
• Supervise and review the work of junior engineers and CAD designers
• Provide technical guidance during design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOPs.
• Coordinate civil/structural activities with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, piping, etc.).
• Review and approve contractor/vendor documents, construction drawings, and method statements.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and support construction teams with technical resolutions.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for the civil/structural scope of work.
• Support tender evaluations and technical bid assessments.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are embedded in design deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Strong understanding of project cost control principles, financial modeling, and forecasting.
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, or industrial construction projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/drafting tools.
• Professional Engineering License (e.g., COREN, PE, CEng) is an advantage
