Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lawyer to join our legal team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, representing clients in legal proceedings, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• This role requires a deep understanding of the Nigerian legal system, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic counsel to our clients or the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on various legal matters to clients or internal stakeholders.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions and strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Participate in negotiations, settlements, and mediations on behalf of clients.
• Manage and oversee legal projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to legal standards.
• Handle any other legal duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor degree from an accredited/ recognized  Institution in Nigeria or Abroad.
• Admission to the Bar association in the relevant jurisdiction is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 - 5 years of experience practicing law.
• Proven track record in handling legal cases, negotiations, and client representation.
• Excellent knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
