• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating clauses to protect the company's interests. Oversee corporate agreements, confidently manage contracts, and negotiate strong terms. 

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare commercial contracts in line with industry best practices.
•  Negotiate contract clauses to secure the company’s legal and commercial advantage.
• Provide expert legal guidance on regulatory, compliance, and operational matters related to the oil & gas sector.
• Manage legal risks and advise management on potential exposures.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and partners as required.
•  Ensure all company activities comply with applicable laws and contractual obligations.
•  Lead negotiations to secure favourable terms. 
• Advise management on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Mitigate risk and support strategic decision making.
• Handle litigation strategy and liaise with external counsel. 

Requirements

• 7–10 years post-call experience, with a strong background in the oil & gas industry.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and risk management. 
• Excellent understanding of oil & gas regulatory frameworks. 
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. 
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound legal judgments. 
• Excellent communication and analytical skills. 
• Litigation experience and dispute resolution capability.
