Laundry Attendant at Golden Tulip Hotel Asaba, Delta State

Reports To: Laundry Supervisor / Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and distributing linen, uniforms, and guest clothing. The role ensures cleanliness, quality control, and proper handling of all laundry items in accordance with hotel or facility standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and classify laundry items by color, fabric, and cleaning technique.
• Operate washing, drying, and ironing machines safely and efficiently.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and damage; report any issues.
• Fold, hang, and organize clean linen and uniforms.
• Ensure guest laundry is properly labeled, washed, and returned on time.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and equipment.
• Monitor and report inventory levels of laundry supplies and chemicals.
• Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Assist with other housekeeping tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to operate laundry machinery.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift or move heavy items.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
