    Land Surveyor

    Job Summary

    The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys, mapping sites, verifying land boundaries, and preparing technical drawings and reports. The role supports all phases of land development, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with regulatory and planning requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct physical site surveys using equipment such as GPS, Total Stations, and GIS systems.
    • Measure and map land boundaries for development, acquisition, or title documentation.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to support development planning.
    • Interpret data and create technical documents including site layout plans, survey reports, and topographic maps.
    • Verify legal boundaries for properties based on title deeds and other documentation.
    • Provide support during construction by verifying reference points and levels.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure survey results are up-to-date and securely archived.
    • Ensure all surveying work complies with relevant legal and environmental regulations.
    • Liaise with government survey departments and land registries for permit processing and approvals.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in land surveying, preferably in real estate or construction.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD, GPS systems, GIS tools, and other modern survey instruments.
    • Must be registered with SURCON or a member of NIS. 
    • Strong understanding of legal land documentation, property law, and boundary demarcation.
    • Attention to detail, integrity, and excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with team members, clients, and regulatory agencies.
