Laboratory Technician at Critters Veterinary Centre

Job Summary

• The laboratory technician will primarily collect samples from doctors for medical testing, interpreting/writing reports on results and conducting imaging for pets at the request of doctors and or third parties.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct technical laboratory testing’s such as chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.
• Ensure specimen/samples are properly labelled.
• Maintain accurate record keeping of all lab results and reports.
• Prepares laboratory analysis and compute a comprehensive report of all result of test samples and diagnostics carried out.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.
• Comply with all laboratory regulations in relation to safety, cleanliness and infection control.

Job Specification

• Minimum of 3 years as a Laboratory Technician.
• B.Sc. Holder in any Science related field.
• Professional knowledge of medical laboratory equipment’s principle application and maintenance routine.
• Adequate knowledge of laboratory safety measures and policies.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Exceptional inter-personal and teamwork personality.
• Smart attention to details and information submitted by clients.
• Ability to compile and analyse accurate reports.
