Key Accountabilities
Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC):

• Verify performance of SG Products on customer/client side.
• Ensure work/activities carried out adhere to Engineering standards and ensure our products meet quality standards through equipment reliability improvements. The finished goods should meet specifications given
• Record, verify and report on QC/QA performance (laboratory results) which would enable continuous improvement of QC laboratory capabilities.
• Ensure maintenance and calibration of all plant QC testing equipment and compliance to plant QC standards and the authorization of QC/QC Gate Pass
• Receive, analyse, respond to and report on customer complaints.
• Provide input and give feedback to production dept on specifications
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly QC/CA reports.

Laboratory:

• For Admixture products:
  • Testing of raw materials to ensure conformance to standards
  • Inform the Operations Manager of any non-conformances
  • Pick sample at the end of Production and conduct a physical test. If conforms, then give Production the go ahead to package finished product. If any non-conformance is detected, inform Production to rework the product until the sample conforms to set standards.
  • Conduct various concrete test to verify how the concrete performs.
• For Mortar products
  • Testing of raw materials to ensure conformance to standards
  • Inform the Operations Manager of any non-conformances
  • Pick samples from different batches of production and conduct physical tests.
  • Conduct about eight different tests to verify how the mortars/paste performs

Job Requirements

• 3 years laboratory and QA/QC experience
• Ability to lead and manage a team (setting of KPI’s, people management)
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Mathematical / data consolidation skills
• Attention to detail
• Computer Skills (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge and understanding of Quality Standards
• Good problem solving skills
