Laboratory Analyst at Handyware Industries Limited

Job Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment in the lab to complete specific procedures
• Perform organoleptic, chemical and microbiological tests on materials and samples as requested or assigned
• Diligently log and analyze the data revealed by lab tests
• Manage inventory supplies by keeping track of materials used and ordering new items as needed
• Perform maintenance on lab equipment by making calibrations, cleaning equipment, replacing parts, and otherwise keeping equipment functioning properly
• Troubleshoot lab equipment to spot problems and report issues to the lab supervisor
• Follow safety standards and protocols at all times in regards to safe handling of materials and wearing proper protective equipment
• Keep laboratory and work areas clean, organized and safe

Requirements

• A Degree or its equivalent in Microbiology
• Passionate about the food industry, microbiology and laboratory analysis and interested in Food Safety Management system (FSMS)
• Willingness to learn.
