Reports to: Quality Assurance Team Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Analyst (Microbiologist) to join our Quality Assurance team at Pally Food Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological analysis of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology and experience working in the FMCG or related industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Microbiological Analysis: Conduct microbiological analysis of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples using various techniques, including culturing, PCR, and ELISA.
• Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on food products and ingredients to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Environmental Monitoring: Conduct environmental monitoring to identify potential sources of contamination and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Method Development and Validation: Develop and validate new microbiological methods and techniques to improve laboratory efficiency and accuracy.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of laboratory results, including reporting and documentation of microbiological analysis.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Research and Development, to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a microbiologist in the FMCG or related industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in microbiological analysis techniques, including culturing, PCR, and ELISA.
• Quality Focus: Strong focus on quality, with ability to identify and report deviations from food safety and quality standards.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively with other departments and prepare accurate reports.

• Physical Demands: Must be physically able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods.
