Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher at Buttercups Preparatory School

​​​​​​​Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the required school Curriculum for KS2.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments 
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and a love for learning.
• Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing regular feedback
• Maintain up-to-date records of pupils’ academic performance and development.
• Organize class activities, school projects, excursions, and other enrichment opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular lessons and support whole-school events and initiatives.
• Uphold the school's values, policies, and code of conduct at all times.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (PGCE or equivalent is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in a Key Stage 2 class.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the British National Curriculum.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• ICT literacy and ability to incorporate technology in teaching and learning.
• Passion for teaching and a genuine commitment to the academic and emotional wellbeing of pupils.
• Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.
