Junior Software Developer (Java) at Accelerex Network Limited

Job Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to work with great team to build Agency Banking Platform for FINTECHs & Banks across Africa. You will form part of the core development team.

Primary duties and responsibilities

1. Develop Micro services, APIs and write business logic using Java & Spring Boot technologies
2. Integrate backend application to various 3rd party API such as Open Banking API, Bill payment services
3. Develop web-based user interface using AngularJS, HTML, CSS & JavaScript
4. Write technical & API documentation
5. Work as part of a dynamic team collaborating closely with other developers and product marketing.
6. Willingness to Learn new technologies around Java, AngularJS, HTML, Spring Boot, AWS
7. Review requirements and provide input
8. Implement major features from scratch by working with Team Lead
9. Create unit tests for features
10. Work with QA to ensure the quality of the product/feature
11. Contribute to design & overall product architecture

Skills and Requirements

1. OND, HND, BSc/MSc Graduate
2. Over 1 year's work experience as a Java software developer
3. Strong experience in building applications and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, JPA
4. Knowledge of Front-end web development using AngularJS, HTML, CSS & JavaScript
5. Building Java modules and testing features before release
6. Good Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket Version control
7. Have used a container-based solution (Docker or Kubernetes)
8. Good written and verbal communication skills and excellent collaborative skills.
9. Willingness to learn new technologies
10. Ability to work with minimum supervision
