We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Legal Counsel to join our growing team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including NDAs, Service Agreements, Supplier Contracts, and Partnership Agreements.
Drive legal operations and process improvement by identifying bottlenecks, proposing practical solutions (e.g., new intake forms, tech rollouts), and improving workflows.
Maintain and update our legal content library, including legal templates and playbooks, ensuring they align with business needs.
Develop and maintain self-service training materials and guides to empower business colleagues to handle basic legal questions.
Take ownership of small-to-medium-sized legal projects aimed at enhancing the legal team’s efficiency and scalability.
What You Need:
A qualified lawyer in South Africa, Nigeria, or Kenya.
NQ - 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) either in-house or at a top-tier law firm.
Foundational knowledge of contract law with demonstrable experience in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements.
A genuine interest and experience in legal operations, process improvement, or legal technology (e.g., contract management systems) is highly valued.
A Problem-solver who communicates complex legal issues in simple, practical, and commercial terms.
