Junior Accountant at Adventure Capital Group

About the Role

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Accountant to join our Finance team.
• The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare journals and maintain the general ledger.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes.
• Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Support tax, pension, and other statutory remittance processes.
• Assist with internal and external audit exercises.
• Monitor petty cash and prepare reconciliation reports.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3–4years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional certification (ICAN ATS, ACA in view, ACCA in view, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
