    Junior Accountant

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Accountant to support our Finance team in managing daily accounting operations. The successful candidate will assist with reporting, reconciliations, statutory remittances, expense vetting, and maintaining accurate financial records. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare daily financial reports including bank position, receivables, and payables.
    • Accurately record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
    • Manage petty cash and ensure proper postings and reconciliation.
    • Conduct regular stock counts across locations and reconcile physical stock with system balances, including variance analysis.
    • Handle monthly staff PAYE and pension remittances.
    • Vet staff expenses, reimbursements, travel requests, and sales retirements.
    • Manage staff cash advances and related accounts.
    • Perform regular bank runs for cheque deposits and documentation.
    • Support month-end and periodic closing activities by reviewing and correcting accounting entries.
    • Carry out regular reconciliations of bank, cash, and general ledger accounts.
    • Maintain proper documentation and archiving of financial records.
    • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by line managers.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Good working knowledge of accounting software.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
