IT Support Officer at Virgin Forest Energy Limited

Job Summary

We are looking an IT Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the firm’s IT systems (hardware maintenance, network connectivity, and software support). This role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on expertise in hardware troubleshooting and a solid understanding of enterprise applications within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware faults and system malfunctions promptly; provide technical assistance to staff across all departments.
• Perform routine checks on all IT equipment and coordinate repairs/replacements with approved vendors.
• Provide support for LAN/WAN connectivity and troubleshoot issues related to routers, switches, and access points.
• Assist in monitoring network security, ensure adherence to IT security policies, and support data backup/disaster recovery processes.
• Assist the Head of IT in monitoring system performance and escalating complex software issues when necessary.
• Maintain the highest standards of data protection regarding sensitive financial and client information.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in IT support
• Strong expertise in hardware troubleshooting; familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Windows Server environments.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a high level of integrity.
