This is a full-time hybrid role for an IT Support Officer based in Lagos State, Nigeria, with opportunities for remote work.
The IT Support Officer will handle daily responsibilities such as installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, providing technical support to team members, troubleshooting IT issues, managing system updates, and safeguarding the organization’s IT infrastructure.
They will also collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth IT operations and communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and IT peripherals, with a solid understanding of system updates and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of network systems, including configuration and maintenance of LAN/WAN, routers, and firewalls, as well as experience in cybersecurity best practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for providing technical support and training to diverse team members across departments.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve complex IT issues effectively and promptly.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Proven experience in IT support or a related role is essential.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent are highly desirable.
An adaptable and proactive approach with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment.
