Job Description

• The IT Support Officer will monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the organisation ensuring that they run smoothly.
• Provide technical support and advice to computer users.
• You are required to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and applications problems.
• Aside the IT role, you will be assisting the recruitment team as may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Maintain network and network security integrity.
• Maintain the organization’s internet connectivity and server.
• Regularly liaise with service providers and vendors as may be required.
• Where required, taking staff through a series of actions either face to face or over the telephone to help set up systems and/or resolve issues.
• Troubleshooting system, diagnosing and solving network problems.
• Request for replacment parts as may be required.
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
• Set up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
• Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults and responding within agreed time limits.
• Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties when applicable).
• Test and evaluate new technology and when required support the roll-out of new applications.
• Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment and the elevator machine.
• Install, Maintain, Monitor, and configure CCTV camera security system.
• Maintain existing Access Control system and installation/configuration of its software to accommodate new entries.
• Carry out Hardware maintenance on computers/Laptops that break down.
• Maintain existing Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) PABX intercom system
• Management of the organizations Social media accounts and online presence.
• Assist the recruitment team in profile sourcing as need arises at your downtimes.
• Develop and deliver training modules pertaining to IT when required.
• The incumbent is likely to be assigned to multiple projects at any point in time, a major challenge exists for the job holder in service delivery, adequate and timely follow-up on assigned tasks.

• Exhibit and maintain excellent relationship with our clients and third parties.
• Portray positive image by ensuring that the organization’s values are showcased in the discharge of assigned duties.
• Represent executives at social functions.

Qualifications

• B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related field.
• 3 - 5 years work experience.
• Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) as an added advantage.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working well under pressure.
• Must be patient and meticulous in nature.
• Ability to support SAGE accounting package.
