Job Summary

• Support the identification and evaluation of new and emerging technologies, techniques and models Assess emerging technology against the existing business needs and infrastructure in a nimble and iterative manner Aid in the development of business strategy and corresponding IT strategy.
• Facilitate Committee meetings and engages confidently with the senior stakeholders regarding IT Governance Engage with local and international partners as potential sources of new ideas. Troubleshoot issues affecting multiple systems simultaneously.
• Monitor the market to keep abreast of new technologies that will impact the ICT market

Job Details

• Support the development of flow charts, functional diagrams, and descriptions to communicate application design specifications, as required
• Take action to identify risk impacts within areas of responsibility, where appropriate, and consults with relevant expert on a timely basis to provide advice on managing and mitigating risks
• Advise on issues such as maintenance of hardware assets, licensing of software, and legal obligations such as compliance with Government data protection standards.
• Establish and maintain infrastructures for keeping accurate records of and controlling IT assets and changes,
• carrying out tasks such as planning and managing the introduction of IT asset control.
• Provide recommendations and supports the design of optimized next-generation Identity Access

Management (IAM) processes

• Support the development of project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing.
• Monitor utilization of servers/storage to identify opportunities for consolidation, virtualization, or increased efficiency.
• Perform typical daily servers and network troubleshooting working with internal customers and external vendors as necessary.
• Document information security and incident response, policies, procedures, and tests.
• Aid in the development of information security education and educates mid-level stakeholders.
• Develop troubleshooting processes used in the organization

Requirements

• First degree or its equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or any related discipline from a reputable tertiary institution
• Professional or post graduate qualification in Information Technology or relevant IT certifications (CCNA,
• Oracle 10g, and other networking and database management certifications).
• Two to five (2-5) years relevant experience.
• Good understanding of global leading practices in information management.
• Working knowledge of network architecture, design and management, LAN and WAN
• Demonstrates understanding of how technologies assist in business processes
• Demonstrates working understanding of how platforms integrate with other environments (e.g. network, cloud).
• Strong knowledge of network security and data networks.
• Displays understanding of the impact of risks and issues on tasks and activities
• Demonstrates familiarity with leading practice risk frameworks
• Understanding of database administration.
• Displays basic understanding of how to monitor and track project milestones and deliverables
• Demonstrates understanding of how platforms integrate with other environments (e.g. network, cloud).
• Proficiency in relevant operating systems.
• In-depth understanding of server network, protocols, and internet/intranet applications.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and people management skills.
