Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all computers systems and networks
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests
• Set up accounts for new users and ensure that they know how to log in
• Talk staff, clients, consultants through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
• Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance and upgrades
• Manage stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies
• Maintain records of software licenses
• Check computer equipment for electrical safety
• Repair equipment and replace faulty parts
• Investigate, diagnose, and solve computer software and hardware faults
• Analyze call logs to spot trends and underlying issues
• Test and evaluate new technology

Educational Qualifications and Requirements

• ND or HND in Computer Science or any related field
• CompTIA A+ or ITIL Certification is an added advantage
