    IT Support Officer

    Job Description

    • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
    • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
    • Responding in a timely manner
    • Solves technical issues as they arise and ensuring the whole institution runs smoothly.
    • And any other duties that may be assigned to you by the Director and the University Management

    IT Support staff should possess and display the following skills:

    • Technical, logical thought process
    • Stick to strict deadlines
    • Prioritize and delegate
    • A keen eye for detail
    • Communication skills
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Problem solving skills
    • Punctuality
    • Critical thinking skills
    • Teamwork and collaboration skills

    Qualification

    • Although a formal degree might not always be necessary in an IT Support role, tertiary qualifications can include the following: Computer Science, Computing, Engineering.

    Salary and Condition of Service
    The salary and conditions of service are as applicable in other Nigeria Universities and as may be determined from time to time by Edo State Government through the Governing Council.

    Method of Application

    • GSM Number & e-mail Address.
