IT Support Officer at Alert Microfinance Bank

Position Overview:

• The IT Support Officer in a Nigeria Microfinance Bank is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to the bank's information technology systems and infrastructure. This role entails assisting bank staff with ITrelated issues, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of the bank's IT environment. Key Responsibilities:

User Support:

• Provide technical support and assistance to bank staff with ITrelated inquiries, issues, and incidents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for endusers.

IT Helpdesk Management:

• Monitor and respond to IT support tickets and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain a helpdesk system to track and manage user issues and resolutions.

Hardware and Software Maintenance:

• Perform regular maintenance and updates on computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely repairs and replacement of faulty hardware and software.

Network Support:

• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist in resolving networkrelated problems.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the network infrastructure and data transmission.

Data Backup and Recovery:

• Implement and monitor regular data backup procedures to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Test data recovery processes to ensure they are effective and reliable in case of data loss.

IT Security and Compliance:

• Monitor and report on security incidents and potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the IT team to address any compliance requirements related to IT systems.
•  Cloud Management and Application deployment.
• Knowledge of AWS infrastructure
• CICD Deployment using GitHub Actions.

Documentation and Training:

• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Conduct training sessions for bank staff on ITrelated topics, including cybersecurity best practices.
