IT Security Specialist at 21 Search Ltd

Role Summary:

Our client seeks a skilled IT Security Specialist to develop, implement, and manage robust information security policies and systems across the organization. The role involves conducting risk assessments, monitoring and responding to security incidents, administering security tools, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cybersecurity, hands-on experience with modern security technologies, and the ability to train staff on best practices to protect digital assets.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization\'s information security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.
• Provide security awareness and training to staff and users on best practices and guidelines.
• Manage and administer security tools and systems, such as firewalls, antivirus, encryption, authentication, backup, and recovery.
• Research and evaluate new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization\'s security posture.
• Report and document security issues and incidents, and provide recommendations and solutions

Minimum Requirement

• First degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Professional certification CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ etc. will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in information security or a similar role.
• Knowledge of information security principles, frameworks, standards, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and COBIT.
