We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as the IT Manager in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing IT infrastructure, systems, and projects within the context of the oil and gas sector. The IT Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and optimization of our technological resources.

Responsibilities:

IT Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with the business goals and objectives of the oil and gas industry.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess technology needs and prioritize IT initiatives.

Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
• Manage network systems, servers, and storage solutions.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the organization's data and information assets.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.

Project Management:

• Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and systems.

Vendor Management:

• Evaluate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate contracts, monitor service level agreements, and ensure cost-effective solutions.

User Support and Training:

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
• Conduct regular testing to ensure preparedness for potential disruptions.

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
• Monitor and control IT-related expenses.

Emerging Technologies:

• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the oil and gas sector.
• Assess and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, security, and projects.
