IT Infrastructure Support Officer - Ikoyi at Matrix Energy Group

Job Purpose:

This role involves optimizing performance, maintaining security, minimizing downtime, providing ERP functional support, and managing IT assets. This role will also support the maintenance of the network infrastructure of Matrix, as well as the acquisition, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of computer hardware devices while providing adequate support to all users.

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide first-level support for employees’ IT-related problems.
• Support routine maintenance of IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations.
• Assist in installing, configuring, and updating software and hardware.
• Monitor system performance and report any irregularities.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and IT security protocols.
• Assist in setting up new employee workstations and email accounts.
• Assist in maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Support IT security measures, such as antivirus updates and data backups.
• Maintain up to date logs of IT support requests and resolutions.
• Document IT procedures and configurations.
• Assist in tracking IT assets, including laptops, printers, and other hardware.
• Support procurement processes by collecting requirements and researching IT solutions.
• Provide support with the planning and execution for IT projects.

 QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related course with a minimum of second class upper.
• Any IT related professional certification such as CCNA, MCTs, CISSP etc. will be an advantage.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience.
• Smart and be willing to learn.
• Must have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
