IT Engineer at EL-ALAN Construction Company (Nigeria) Limited

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and work experience in deploying any ERP system.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of Microsoft, Linux, Ubuntu, Apple OS.
• Knowledge and work experience in MS SQL
• VMWare/Citrix Server virtualization support
• Knowledge & experience in security/ELV solutions deployment like CCTV (All Digital & Analog types), Access control (All types) & Fire proofing (FM 200, Fire alarm)
• To provide support for all IT infrastructure hardware & applications as well as configuration, upgrades and maintenance of these.
• Structured LAN and WAN deployment (full knowledge in VLAN, IP-Networking, NAT, ROUTING etc.)
• To implement and enforce internal computer systems security.
• To administer Domain controller, Active directory, Firewalls(Checkpoint, SOPHOS)and routers.
• To implement and maintain up-to-date backups for server and all applications
• To test and implement software patches for all applications, including third party applications
• To maintain comprehensive and updated documentation of all ICT systems and infrastructure in use by the Group
• Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
• Create and verify Auto/Manual backups of data
• Respond to and resolve help desk routine tickets
• Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
• Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
• Review application logs, update jobknowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating professional organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Certification in Microsoft, Networking and other latest technologies.

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years in IT infrastructure support or IT administration.
