    IT Assistant (Consultancy)

    Purpose of the assignment

    • The purpose of this assignment is to have an IT Ad-hoc Support Assistant verify the specification, functionality and condition of the 2,020 mobile devices intended for use during the 2026 ITN.
    • The assignment involves unpacking and physically inspecting the mobile devices, checking if the phones meet the desired/requested user specifications and verifying the availability of essential accessories (e.g., pouches, chargers, batteries, USB cables).
    • Also in addition, the ad hoc staff is meant to categorize devices into the various categories as would be outlined by the Technical Lead as well as setting it up, configuring and installing MDM, Digit HCM App and other software’s that may be needed for the campaign.

    Specific Tasks

    • Unpack and repack mobile phones and accessories.
    • Check if phones meet the desired/requested specifications
    • Check if the Phones are functional
    • Tag phones
    • Install and set up the Phones using an MDM App as well as the DIGIT HCM App that would be provided on each mobile phone.
    • Assist in sorting and categorizing mobile phones based on functionality.
    • Tag, Label and arrange phones as per the verification team’s instructions.
    • Assist in logging information on functionality status (functional, faulty, missing accessories, etc.).
    • Handle extension cables and ensure devices are connected for testing.
    • Support clean-up and arrangement of the workspace each day.

    Deliverables:

    • Phones and accessories are unpacked, sorted, and re-packed daily.
    • Accurate Tagging and grouping of phones based on status (functional/faulty).
    • Device fully provisioned and set up and having the MDM and DIGIT HCM Apps installed.
    • Updated manual records or logs of devices worked on, as guided.
    • Clean and orderly verification
    • Space maintained throughout the period.
    • Signed daily timesheet submitted at the end of each working day.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • A minimum of a National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
    • 2 years of experience in an IT technical support role
    • Familiar with Android phones and device specifications, Mobile Device Management applications, and any Digital Health Tool used for health campaigns.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Customer service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
