Description

• An Islamic Religious Studies (IRS) teacher for secondary educationplans, prepares, and delivers engaging lessons on Quranic studies, Hadith, Fiqh (jurisprudence), and Islamic history based on the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) curriculum for Junior and Senior Secondary Schools.
• They foster Islamic moral values, prepare students for WAEC/NECO/JAMB exams, assess student progress, and provide moral guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach core concepts including the Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, Islamic history, and moral values.
• Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver daily lessons in accordance with the NERDC scheme of work for JSS and SSS students.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Administer continuous assessment (CA) tests, create homework, and evaluate student understanding through examinations.
• Student Support & Discipline: Maintain a well-organized classroom, provide moral and spiritual guidance, and identify students needing extra support.
• Examination Prep: Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations through targeted revision sessions.
• Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, PTA meetings, and communicate student progress to parents and guardians.

Qualification

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field.
