Job Summary

• An Inventory Officer in real estate manages construction materials, tools, and equipment at project sites to ensure efficient operations and accurate records.
• They handle procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, often conducting site inspections and reconciling physical counts with software systems to prevent stockouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inventory Management: Monitoring construction material levels to ensure optimal stock for project managers and reducing waste.
• Receipt and Inspection: Receiving incoming shipments, verifying quality, and reconciling goods against purchase orders.
• Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date inventory databases, spreadsheets, and generating inventory reports.
• Asset Security: Safeguarding tools and materials at construction sites.
• Coordination: Working with site engineers, contractors, and procurement departments to ensure material availability.

Requirements

• Education: HND / BSc Degree in Inventory Management, Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Experience: Generally 2–5 years of experience in construction or real estate, particularly in storekeeping or inventory management.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), inventory software/ERP systems, strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
