Internal Control Officer at Swift Trust Microfinance bank

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor internal control processes to safeguard the bank’s assets.
• Review financial transactions, records, and processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments across all departments.
• Identify process gaps, potential risks, and recommend improvements.
• Ensure adherence to CBN guidelines, anti-money laundering policies, and other regulatory standards.
• Investigate irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and update internal control policies and procedures as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
• 2 - 4 years’ experience in internal control, audit, or compliance roles (preferably in a financial institution).
• Strong knowledge of microfinance banking operations, CBN regulations, and risk management processes.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and objectivity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIBN is an added advantage.
