    Internal Control Officer

    Responsibilites

    • Coordinate the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process with inputs from all departments and ensure compliance.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives.
    • Identify and document control weaknesses and propose practical and value-added recommendations to provide evidential support for findings.
    • Coordinate the timely clearance by relevant departments of all gaps reported by the Internal and External Auditors.
    • Produce a monthly Internal Control Report, issues flagged and prioritize improvement opportunities to Exco.
    • Ensure that the Internal Control aspects of the Operational Risk Policy are adhered to.
    • Promoting staff knowledge and compliance accordingly, while recommending Policy updates where required based on best practices and changing circumstances.
    • Working with client’s personnel to ensure review and implementation of departmental SoPs per the existing firm-wide activity task list and associated gap analysis.

    Requirements

    • Relevant qualifications in ACA, ACCA, and CIA
    • Minimum of 7 years experience in internal control/audit
    • Hands-on experience with Issuing houses in capital markets, structured finance deals, and infrastructure sector transactions.
    • Financial Service, Investment/Assets Management industry knowledge and experience is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills
    • An understanding of the industry and business models and the ability to communicate business strategies to stakeholders.
    • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work products.
