Internal Control Officer - Cross River at Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC)

JOB SUMMARY

The Internal Control Officer will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating Sunbeth’s internal control systems and procedures related to cocoa, cashew, Soyabeans, and Sesame export and warehousing operations. The Officer will ensure compliance with established policies, regulations, and accounting standards in the areas of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and financial reporting for Sunbeth Global Concepts Limited.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Compliance to Operational Control warehouse 49 points of Control check.
• Ensure the timely escalation of anti-fraud information and any other information that may have material implications on the business if not timely remediated at Warehousing operations or Quality process.
• Assess the accuracy of warehouse documentation by tracking and verifying all incoming and outgoing items. To be measured by the percentage of accurate documentation against the total transactions.
• Monitor the efficiency of tracking documentation for system posting with supporting documents. To be measured by the percentage of documents successfully posted in the system.
• Evaluate interpersonal skills and collaboration across departments. Conduct regular feedback assessments from cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and adherence to controls.
• Provide daily reports to support operations in maintaining a robust control environment. To be measured by the consistency and usefulness of daily reports in facilitating effective control execution.
• Monitor controls and provides inputs to prevent and detect errors, pilferage, and fraud. To be measured by the effectiveness of inputs in preventing and addressing control issues.

Educational Requirements    

• BSC/HND in Management-related courses/ Finance/ costing.
