A reputable, high-profile residential estate is seeking a seasoned, highly competent security professional for the role of Chief Security Officer (CSO).
This appointment comes at a critical time, as the Estate is strengthening its security architecture to address identified operational gaps and elevate overall safety standards. The selected candidate will serve as the central authority for security coordination, oversight, and strategic advisory.
Role Overview
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will be responsible for the comprehensive management, supervision, and optimisation of all security operations within the estate. The role requires a proactive professional who can institute discipline, enforce standards, and provide strategic direction to both security personnel and the Estate’s leadership.
The CSO will report directly to the Executive Committee, ensuring alignment with the Estate’s safety objectives and governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end oversight of all security operations within the estate, ensuring strict adherence to established protocols and best practices.
- Supervise, monitor, and evaluate the performance of all deployed security personnel and third-party security providers.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and response strategies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending actionable solutions.
- Coordinate incident response efforts, including investigations, reporting, and post-incident reviews.
- Establish and enforce accountability structures for all security personnel, ensuring professionalism and operational competence at all times.
- Serve as the primary security advisor to the Executive Council, providing expert guidance on emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and deliver periodic security reports, including performance metrics, incident logs, and strategic recommendations.
- Liaise with relevant law enforcement agencies and external security stakeholders where necessary.
- Oversee access control systems, surveillance infrastructure, and general estate safety mechanisms.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma and Security Certification in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field.
- At least 10-15 years of progressive experience in security operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role or an *Ex military or Paramilitary Service personnel*
- Proven track record in managing security personnel and coordinating security operations in residential estates, corporate organisations, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of modern security systems, risk management frameworks, and incident response protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce discipline and drive operational efficiency within security teams.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment under pressure.
- Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
