Job Description

• The Internal Auditor is responsible for tracking the company`s cash flow and accounting processes to ensure that they are being recorded and processed correctly.
• They are also responsible for the identification and control of risks to the company by ensuring that all processes meet both local and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and control the full cycle including risk management and control management over the operation`s effectiveness, financial responsibility and compliance.
• Review accounting controls by recommending modifications to accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
• Detailed execution of internal audit checks for stocks, receivables, payables, cash, and non-current assets.
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement.
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Document processes and prepare audit findings memorandum on specific issues which shall be presented to the management on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance or any other related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of cognate experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a combination of both, with at least 5 years of experience in core Internal Audit functions.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is required.
