COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Our Company, an integrated indigenous publishing company at No 46 Water Bus-Stop, opposite University of Ibadan, Oyo Road, is looking to recruit an Internal Auditor who will be responsible for providing assurance on the adequacy, appropriateness and effectiveness of the organization’s internal control environment and risk management framework. The ideal candidate will be exposed to virtually all areas of the company’s operation hence he MUST be a self-starter, self-motivated and very detailed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The internal auditor will work in account and finance department and will be responsible for reviewing the company's financial reporting systems and policies and ensure the financial reports are accurate, complete and in accordance with local, national and federal audit requirements and standards.

Main responsibilities

• Awareness of recent financial policies.
• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Plan course of action to recover outstanding payment.
• Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.
• Build a strong compliance environment to ensure zero level of policy, procedures, and regulatory infractions.
• Collating, checking and analyzing stock items.
• Examining company re-occurring and non-re-occurring expenditures and financial control systems.
• Gauging levels of financial risk within the organization.
• Ensuring sales reports and records are accurate and reliable.
• Identifying faulty processes and procedures and give advice on adjustments.
• Preparing audit reports and commentaries.
• Liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations.
• Ensuring procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are  correctly followed and complied with.
• Review and verify wages, and other benefit where necessary.
• Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to  record transactions.
• Build strong awareness on all policy and procedures issues; zero tolerance for un-reviewed transactions and income leakages.
• Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

BSc/HND in Accounting.

• ACA/M.Sc./MBA is an added advantage.
• Must have optimal skill on SAGE 50 software application, MS Excel and MS Word.
• Must have 2-5 years corporate experience as an auditor in the manufacturing industry.
• Must have relevant and updated knowledge of Federal and State  tax regulations.
• Ability to do FIRS online filing is an added advantage.
• Must have excellent computational skill.
• Must have excellent writing and verbal skills.
• Preferably a male between ages 28-40 years.
• Must be diligent and pay attention to details.
• Must be a team player.

SALARY:N 80,000- N100,000

LOCATION: Ibadan.
