Job Summary

• The Internal Auditor is to assess compliance with applicable standards and guidelines and the sufficiency of internal controls.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Verifying accuracy and consistency of records, statements, and reports.
• Audits the company’s information systems, assessing compliance with data security and storage requirements.
• Reviews internal controls, policies, and procedures for effectiveness.
• Drafts and presents reports of findings and analysis; identifies and recommends revisions and improvements to accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• Five (5) years of related experience are required.
• Institute Of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) designation preferred.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and reporting.
• Extensive knowledge of information systems security.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Extremely proficient with accounting software.
• To vet all approvals done and give a report to management if the proper internal control process was followed before purchase.
