Job Roles

Provision of an independent, objective assurance and consulting service that adds value to the operations of the company. Evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of corporate governance, risk management and control processes within the organization.

Functions & Responsibilities

1. Assists the Head of Internal Audit in the review of assigned units in the Group specifically (FACL, FAAL, FAISL and FAAM)
2. Carries out peripheral audit activities within the Group E.g. Call over, Spot Checks, Security Sweeps, and specific audit assignments.
3. Assist in the collection of evidence, and gathering of information necessary for investigation reports and unit review.
4. Follows up on the processors for regularization of exceptions noted from audit reviews.
5. Participates in stocktaking of Company assets, and verification of new assets bought for the Company.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Audit.

1. Audit areas completed during the financial year.
2. Quality of observations raised. 
3. Timely submission of reports

Qualification

1. First Degree - At least second-class upper degree in finance or related courses
2. Professional certification - Membership of professional bodies such as ICAN, and ACCA will be an advantage

Minimum Experience

1. Minimum of 2-4 years experience in a bank or other financial institution, at least 3 of which must have been in the Audit Unit.
