Internal Audit Officer at Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Audit Officer to support the development and execution of our internal audit strategy. This role involves conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits across key departments. The successful candidate will play a vital role in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending improvements that strengthen governance, risk management, and overall operational efficiency. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in developing the annual audit plan based on risk assessment and business priorities.
• Conduct risk-based audits across various departments to assess process efficiency and policy compliance.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and operational activities.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend enhancements to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Prepare clear, well-documented audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Support management in strengthening compliance and control systems across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant audit experience in internal or external audit functions
• Partly or fully qualified in the following professional certification; ACCA, ACA, CFE, CIA, CISA, or other related professional certification

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal controls. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively.
• High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail.
