Job Description:

As an Intern Pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and valuable insights into the field of pharmacy practice. Under the guidance of licensed pharmacists, you will assist in dispensing medications, counseling patients, and ensuring the safe and effective use of drugs.

Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently, following all legal requirements and ethical guidelines.
• Provide counseling to patients on the proper use of medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy outcomes.
• Maintain inventory control and ensure adequate stock levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
• Assist in verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, and removing expired or damaged drugs from the pharmacy's inventory.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient safety at all times.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Branch Head.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Pharmacy (Having a D. Pharm is a plus).
• Must have been inducted.
• Previous experience in a community pharmacy is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be ready to resume immediately.
• Residing around Lekki or Victoria Island,Festac, Lagos, is a plus.
