Insurance Technical Officer - Complex Risks at Ark Insurance Group

Job Summary:

• To provide support to the Energy department and head of department in the placement of insurance covers for our Oil & Gas clients

Responsibilities

• Collate the list of all clients whose policies would fall due for renewal
• Provide report of clients’ portfolio including outstanding claims, claims experience and terms
• Advise client of premium and remind clients of programme due for renewal in advance of anniversary date
• Issue invoices to clients and follow up with the client to ensure premium is received
• Notify client of the receipt of premium
• Upon confirmation of premium, follow up with the insurers to receive relevant documentation i.e. policy, endorsements
• Ensure that clients receive insurance documentation within 72 hours upon receipt of premium
• Collate the documents for the AIP and post placement process

Qualifications

• BSc/HND in Insurance or a similar field
• Membership of a professional body would be an added advantage (ACII certification, etc)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in complex risks underwriting
• Proficiency in the use of Office365 apps such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Problem solving skills
