Institutional Cash & Trade Finance Analyst at Deutsche Bank

Your Role

• Institutional Cash & Trade Finance Analyst will act as a point of contact between DB global network and Nigerian/ West African domiciled predominantly institututional counterparts.
• This role will be responsible for facilitating communication between functional teams to share knowledge and foster good practice and performance efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Being a link between the DB network of Booking locations and Financial Institution (“FI”) clients.Ensuring the maintenance of necessary records that can readily provide current, accurate and accessible information to support other DB branches with respect to the local market and locally domiciled clients.
• Establishing, building and strengthening relationships with local and regional FI clients by understanding and coordinating for any of queries with DB entities.
• Supporting the Institutional Cash & Trade Finance franchise and teams as well as Chief Country Representative Nigeria, and work as back up to cover part of the liaison related activities.
• Planning, organizing and anticipating requirements well in advance to support the smooth running of the business.
• Facilitating internal workflow by working on any internal required reports, and taking minutes of attended meetings.
• Organizing and preparing any business related Workshops conducted by offshore DB product teams.
• Supporting KYC due diligence reviews in a timely manner, as per Deutsche Bank’s policies by collecting relevant KYC information from clients, reviewing and routing it to relevant KYC DB Teams at other DB entities.
• Undertaking local market research via internal and external sources.
• Contributing ideas and participation to further improve and streamline the KYC processes.
• Cooperative thinking, team spirit and a business-oriented approach.
• Attending trainings & workshops to strive for knowledge enhancement and skills development.

• Up to date record, quality/accuracy of reports and schedules.
• Effectiveness of client interaction: Strength of relationship built with clients
• Prompt response/support in resolving issues.
• Respond to client requests and follow every task through with support of colleagues and relevant DB branches and internal departments to completion keeping the client updated on progress.
• Ensure solid internal relationships built within DB in order to get resolutions to queries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Feedback from external and internal counterparts are a valuable input into the above Key Performance measurements

Your Skills And Qualifications

• Language skills: Fluent in English language;
• Seasoned banker with profound product experience in Trade Finance and Cash Management with Financial Institutions;
• Good understanding of all transaction banking products;
• Excellent understanding of credit risk and all relevant Anti-Financial Crime/Compliance thematics (KYC, AML/AFC);
• Excellent interpersonal skills: effective and concise communicator at all levels, both verbal and written.
