    Institute Manager

    Position Summary: Reporting to the board of directors, the Institute Manager (IM) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the training Center on behalf of ACT. The Learning Center will serve hundreds of adults each year through forex education courses, ranging from beginner, intermediate and advanced. The IM will manage a diverse team and will works closely with the management of ACT to ensure that the Learning Institute delivers high-quality programs to its clients. The IM is responsible for overseeing a robust system of performance measurement, driving ongoing program development and improvement, and making substantial contributions to income, communications, and many other leadership functions. The Learning Center will has already undergone a significant renovation of its facilities, and a key role of the IM will be to manage the expansion and enhancement of the Learning Center’s programs and services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Directly supervise a team to achieve organizational goals. Recruit, hire, and manage team members, holding them to a high standard of performance and ensuring compliance with all ACT personnel policies and procedures.
    • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, income, communications, and systems relating to the Learning Center.
    • Work with ACT development staff to expand revenue activities to support existing events operations and programmatic/capital expansion.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of high-quality programming for the Learning Center, built on best practices in the field, innovation, and sharing of resources.
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the Learning Center.
    • Oversee the safety of students served by the Learning Center through policies and procedures, staff training, facilities oversight, and other methods.
    • Oversee legal issues related to the Learning Center and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure effective systems to track Learning Center program development and outcomes and regularly evaluate program components to ensure that the requirements of ACT brokers are being met.
    •  Build partnerships with outside organizations to improve services to Learning Center students and coordinate ACT Brokers services with other community resources.
    •  Other duties not included here may be assigned.

    Qualifications:

    The IM will be thoroughly committed to ACT’s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, management, and program development experience as well as proven experience in programs that work with individuals of all levels of education and various backgrounds. Other qualifications include:

    •  At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following roles: leading a performance- and outcomes-based program and staff; developing and operationalizing strategies that have grown the capacity and effectiveness of programs; working in a leadership position in a program or organization serving people from all backgrounds.
    • Bachelor’s degree is required or an acceptable level of experience in a similar role.
    • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
    • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
    • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative.
    • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
    • Strong quantitative skills and experience with budgeting, forecasting, tracking program outcomes, and more.
