Installation Technician – Solar PV Systems at ETC Workforce Services Limited

About the Role

• We are seeking an Installation Technician to execute solar PV system installations for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
• This role ensures safe, efficient, and accurate installation in line with engineering designs, manufacturer specifications, and Nigerian electrical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, inverters, batteries, cabling, and mounting structures.
• Interpret system designs, perform wiring, and support commissioning.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and assist in testing and configuration.
• Follow HSE, NEMSA, SON/SONCAP, and local electrical safety standards.
• Maintain site records, tools, and equipment; support customer handovers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical College Certificate, OND, or related qualification in Electrical Installation, Electromechanical, or Renewable Energy Technology.
• 1–3 years’ hands-on solar PV installation experience.
• Experience with inverters (Deye, Victron, Growatt, SVC, Must, Luminous) and Nigerian solar components.
• Optional certifications: GIZ/NESP, REAN, RETTI, GSES, SEI Africa, or NEMSA safety training.

Skills & Competencies:

• Practical solar installation and wiring skills.
• Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Physical fitness, teamwork, attention to detail, and professionalism.
• Familiarity with installation tools and PPE usage.
