Job Description

• Perform inspection, maintenance, repairs, and installation of Control Panel air conditioning systems, including cooling towers, chiller units and similar equipment’s.
• Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously. 
•  Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units. 
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions. 
•  Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged. 
• Make adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls. 
•  Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment. 
•  Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors. 
• Make plans and designs of new Industrial air-conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance. 
• Carry out overhauling and servicing of refrigeration units by repairing, changing, or reworking broken parts of compressors, condensers, and vacuum pumps.
• Perform repairs or adjustments on piping connections, valves, couplings and fittings by riveting, bolting, welding, brazing, and soldering applying hand tools, drill press, Prestolite torch, and acetylene torch.
•  Inspect Freon level in refrigeration units and fix any leak observed, and charge units as required.
• Keep record of all the air condition units and track it on daily basis.
• Documents, implements and maintains the requirements of the Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Health and Safety management systems.

Required Education

• Minimum of OND in HVAC-R or a related discipline

Required Experience

• Minimum of 5 years work experience, 3 of which must be in a maintenance role prescribed
• Demonstrable experience in carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance.
