ICT Teacher at Rainbow Educational Services Limited

ICT Teacher & IT Admin Support has a responsibility to educate students on how computers work, from the basic science and mathematics behind their operation to the actual hardware and the software built on those foundations and also offer IT technical support to student and staff members.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on how computers work, including the basic science and mathematics behind their operation and the hardware and the software built on those foundations.
• Teach students how to write computer programs, algorithms, and programming languages.
• Create lesson plans and utilise various curriculum resources.
• Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
• Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
• Keep records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
• Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems for the school.
• Monitor and maintain network and server systems to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
• Provide technical support to staff and students for hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and computer-related problems as they arise.
• Support and administration of the group’s information management system. 
• Read and stay abreast of current trends in information technology.
• Any other task as may be assigned by management related discipline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Teaching certification for the level at which you will be instructing
• Prior experience as an IT/Data Processing tutor
• TRCN certification
• Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification is desirable.
• Passionate about fostering computer literacy and academic excellence.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Strong written and administrative skills.
• Able to use an interactive or smart board.
• 21st century teaching skills.
