ICT Teacher at Broadoaks British School

JOB PURPOSE

• To deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in ICT, inspiring pupils to achieve their full potential and fostering a love of learning. To ensure that the school’s computer network is functional at all times and all ICT users are fully supported at all times.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

• The ICT teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing ICT lessons, developing pupils' knowledge, skills, and understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons, setting high expectations and challenging students to achieve their best
• Set and mark assignments, assessments, and exams, providing constructive feedback
• Monitor pupil progress, identifying areas for improvement and adapting teaching strategies
• Develop and implement curriculum plans, schemes of work, and departmental policies
• Participate in departmental meetings, sharing best practices and contributing to faculty development
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and events
• Stay up-to-date with subject developments and teaching methodologies

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Teacher Status/TRCN
• Bachelor's degree in ICT, or related field
• Postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE)
• Experience teaching ICT in a British school or similar educational setting
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaching skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
