ICT Support Officer at Amazon Energy Limited

JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

• The role is responsible for managing databases, installing and configuring networks, providing user support to optimize operational efficiency, resolving technical issues/glitches, and managing the information security network.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation and maintenance of computer software applications, server and workstations.
• Perform user support tasks, troubleshooting, designing, installation, upgrading and configuration of operating systems and network devices.
• General co-ordination of all computer systems and accessories such as printers, scanners in operations.            
• Performing diagnostic tests, keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.
• Ensuring optimal use of company’s hardware and software technologies, thereby, enhancing system performance.
• Providing advisory on IT equipment usage.
• Monitoring access logs and building security procedures.
• Setting up antivirus programs at workstations, developing policies for email security, and performing periodic data audits and backups to prevent information loss and unauthorized access.

Education

• 3-5 years’ cognate experience in ICT Operations.
• Bachelor's Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or any other relevant field.
• Professional Certifications relating to the position, such as, Certification in A+, Server administration or CCNA is of advantage.
• Preferably male.
• Resident in Lekki, Yaba (will be an added advantage).

Experience       

• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
• Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
• Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
• Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security.
• Experience in Oil/Gas/Power Industry will be an added advantage.
